1976 Audi 100LS Clean and drives well
I have a 1976 Audi 100LS. Overall this is an awesome and very rare Audi to drive that has proven to me it is quite reliable when maintained properly. If you want a piece of vintage Audi history this is the car to have.
-Front wheel drive automatic transmission
-CIS fuel injected 4 cylinder engine with freshly rebuilt head and new head gasket
-4 door sedan
This car has weathered some wicked 2006 storms (blizzards) when I lived in Colorado Springs passing by 4x4 trucks that were stuck in the snow. I still have the set of chains with the car.
The good:
-rebuilt head with re-machined face, new seats, guides, seals, etc and a new head gasket ($500)
-All doors, windows, door locks, and handles work
-Very solid and clean body with very little surface rust you have to look close to find
-Trim and wheel covers are all there with the car
-All lights, signals, heat, defrost, and horn work
-All glass is good
-Solid state ignition installed in distributor so you don't have to set the points when doing tune ups
-Couple year old radiator taken from a new box
-New spare water pump, valves, guides, engine gasket set
-Set of 3-ring binders containing factory service manuals
-Couple year old tires with less than 6000 miles on them
-Passed emissions in Colorado Springs a couple years ago when I got the collectors plates put on it (before the head was rebuilt and it runs even better now.
The bad:
-Sunroof needs some tlc it does not leak but it won't crank back and forth any more
-body could use new paint
-the origional seats are in need of re-upholstry
-This is a 32 year old Audi which means there are some parts that are difficult to find but with some web searching and emails the parts are still out there. I have some email contacts I can give over with the car
-Needs new front wheel bearings (about $80 worth of parts)
Call if interested Asking $1000 OBO
