my center console broke

the two hinge pieces that hold it on broke wtf
does anyone know the part number to oder a new on or know some way to fix it?

one side of mine broke, dealer said I would need to replace the whole thing. So I thought I'd try and save a few bucks and fix it myself.

The degree of difficulty will vary depending on where they broke.

My Solution: (probably not the best but it worked for me)
JB Weld: I tried super glue and a few other products with no success. JB is the way to go.

Drill a small hole through the separated hinge into the lid hinge matching them up.

Use thin wire ( i stripped the plastic off a twistie tie) run it through both pieces and twist together, this will allow you to apply the JB with little movement, and prevent you from having to clamp or hold the pieces together while waiting for them to dry.

Apply JB Weld I applied the JB to the hinge while it was in the console because I could not find a way to put the lid back in without breaking the hinge off again.

Pat yourself on the back for DIY and saving a few $$

I did almost the same thing but used epoxy. Holding up fine for a few months

welcome to my world man. not only does it not latch but one of the legs is broken too. no idea what to do. if you fix it let me know how. dealer quoted me (at my discount) a ridiculous price of about $200 or something along those lines.

it was the glove box the piece between the drivers side and passanger seat

just make an L bracket and screw it down..... it should work! that's how i fixed my glove boX!!

My whole center console all the way from the radio to the back seat is messed up, I'm just gonna go for the B7 swap with an Arm rest delete to have cup holders.

armrest delete? the only person i know who actually doesnt have an armrest nor a hole where the arm rest mounts to is Vinny.dtw Would be nice to see a b7 version of this... i believe John (condo) said that the dealers sell it like that and you actually have to cut it out yourself for the armrest

^^^ Yeah, I heard about it, when I do it is once I get back to the states, so by the time I start doing it someone would probably already beat me to it. The armrest just gets in the way when you're shifting, but I guess I'd miss it in long trips.
