Right, so this curb jumped up out of the middle of nowhere and assaulted my front passenger side stock 17" 5 spoke wheel. On the way home the steering felt heavier than normal, but did not pull to either side, so I'm assuming I just gave myself a bit of toe-in. Steering wheel is still centered, it's just heavy.
So my questions are:
- Do you think it would be ok to drive it for a few days with the extra toe?
- Do quattros pull straight even if the alignment is significantly off? (it's my first AWD street car, plenty of off-road 4x4 experience though)
- What specs should I get it aligned to? I like the twisties but enjoy a good straight run as well. I heard the B7 RS4 specs are nice.
Even before I curbed it I noticed the steering was heavy compared to the B7/B8 S-line loaner I was in while they were doing the brake booster under recall.
I'm going to go sand and paint that spoke now, just figured I'd run this by you guys.
