coilovers installed.... question about fender liner

just picked up my car after getting my startup gt's installed. the only impression i can give now of the kit is that it rides so smooth under normal driving. no harshness at all. haven't really taken her to the limit on corners yet, and height is not set to where i want it just yet, waiting on it to settle before i make final adjustments. however, my tech drove around with it slammed for awhile and now my fender liner is loose on the center top part. what's the best way to secure this back to it's original position?

Im guessing that is the rear. Same thing happened to my liner. It doenst hang down like that right? You are pulling it down. I didnt notice any problems just leaving mine the way it is. You have a side view of your car with the new stance?

yeah all your assumptions are correct, it's the rear, and i'm pulling it down. left alone i can just barely still see it if i'm eye level with the top of the fender.i guess if it does no harm i can leave it alone, but once i'm dropped even more i thought it might rub more because of it being loose. i can take a side veiw pic but the stance is terrible now. front has a 1.5 inch gap and rear almost an inch. we ran into some install problems, first we couldn't figure out the orientation of the spindle/rear spring because we were told spindle goes on the bottom when it really sits on top... then my tech installed the fronts without the washer that goes just below the top rubber assembly and ran into some clunking so he had to take it all apart again. i think he got sick of working on it so we just left the height as is for now till it settles and we'll make final adjustments then.. i'll take pics then. going with the same ride height i had on my b6... 25" from ground to fender.

What washer are you referring to? Ive got clunking and I watched the person who installed mine throw out a little crush washer that he said should be re-used. BASTARD!

scroll down about halfway till you get to the first couple of words in red "take note"... the pic on the left will show a washer/spacer underneath the top bolt. although this is for a different coilover system, i'd say the purpose of the washer is the same.

    so you still have clunking?

Re: coilovers installed.... question about fender liner

The washer Im referring to was very thin.. You could bed it back and forth with your hands. According to the Stasis install instructions, it could be this part.

"Remove clip #1. You do NOT need to reinstall this clip"

Maybe this was the part I saw him toss to the side and thought it was a washer.

    Am I still getting clunking????

Yes and as far as I know, a lot of people have clunking issues. I experience mine at low speeds making sharp turns into driveways and parking spots. Im thinking that it could be due to the fact that the suspension geometry has been altered, resulting in added stress to certain areas. Maybe they are just making noises and crying when they are maxed out.

well in his defense... he was right about the rear spring/perch configuration. i prob made it worse by wanting to call startup and getting conflicting information at first. not using the spacer on the front.. hec who knows, guess he's not too familiar with aftermarket parts perhaps.

audi juice.. which coilovers do you have? i had stassis on my b6 dropped to 25" all around and never had any clunking. and yeah the washer i'm talking about is metal, you can't bend it.

oh and startup gt's..... so far so great!
