oil leak- under warranty?

hey guys,

i have been noticing an oil leak on our B6 1.8T. I have jacked the car up and do not notice where the leak is coming from. We got an oil change about 2 months ago, but the leak only started this week. I checked the oil filter, drain plug and the leak is not coming from there. I have no idea where it is coming from. If I take it to the dealer would it be covered under the warranty? We bought the car used in August but from a VW dealer, it should still be under warranty if the car only has 31000 miles correct? It is a '05 B6 1.8T quattro. Any help is GREATLY appreciated guys.

The 'in-service' date also comes into play. Over 4 years and your on your own.

Given your in an '05 you should be safe.

Most likely you have a valve cover gasket issue, also maybe a cam-tensioner seal out. I had both on my '04.

Could be as simple as the oil plug being a little under-torqued.

Poke around, they are usually pretty easy to trace. If you still have a warranty, Im sure that it will be covered unless its something related to the oil change like a loose plug or filter.
