    Service?

Hey everyone..new to these forums. Just got my B6 a couple of months ago and took it in for the 45K service. Afterwards I noticed that when I take my car to speeds 100 mph or greater, the steering has a slight vibration to it and i notice that handling seems to be slightly compromised. Any ideas as to what could be causing this? I don't think i noticed this prior to my service. I think my rotors are fine b/c i don't notice any high speed braking issues or vibrations. I do live in the city so there might be a cracked rim but i've also not noticed any air leakage issues on the tires....

The other thing I was curious about was how good are the OEM tires. I have over half my tread on these tires and recently we had a bad rain storm here in the north east. I was driving on the NJ TP in the trucks lane and went to switch from one late to another and noticed that the car started to hydroplane for a few seconds. This was also during a slight bend (65 mph bend). Has anyone ever seen this before or know if the OEM tires have hydroplaning issues.

    thanks!

Check your rims for a crack. You also might need an alignment.

vibration at certain speeds could be due to an unbalanced wheel. you might want to get them re-balanced. as far as hydroplaning, what brand/model tires are on your car now? OEM one year is not necessarily OEM the next. Auto manufactures put on tires that they get in bulk discount so make/model can change from one year to the next. Tirerack.com is a great resource to research tires and has lots of real world reviews.
