Name is Greg. Currently drive a 330is. Was a 325is till i put a full M3 drivetrain in it. Anyways, it is now sold and I can start looking for an Audi. Should be picking up an A4 this weekend if im lucky. Have cash in hand for the car, just gotta find something i like. Reason for leaving DTM is i spend more time under my car then behind the stearing wheel and i need something for SNOW! love to board and ski. im looking at a 1.8t A4 AWD. dont care about speed or handling as im sure this car wont match what I had in the M for a reasonable amount of money. i want reliablity and some performance...maybe chip and exhaust with CO's. main thing is i dont want to spend alot of time UNDER the car! anything to look for when buying one of these. i found a couple with 65-80k miles for around 10k$. how long do these motors last. what are some of the issues you guys have had. easy to work on? im handy with a wrench as i did the complete motor/trans swap.

    thanks'

    greg

see what has been done wiht the car... around that milaege see if the pump and timing belt is done... when you buy the acr... spend 100 bucks and keep 4 coilpacks with you at all times... go to ACHTUNING in ACHtober and get a chip.. if you buy it you will get one program free which is never a bad deal and they might have a good deal on some suspension and exhaust too. talk to dion or skyler.. i would go with the B6 platform i had both B6 and B5 and i liked this one a lot more.

    hope this helped
