Quick photo of black S-line Valance on Ibis

Got it earlier today. Prepped, primed and painted a satin black. Here is a quick photo to get an idea. I always hated the back of the car with the color matched S-line Valance. Looks more balanced and a tad more aggressive in black. Seeing it on a couple of cars in the B7 S4 forum made me want to switch. I'll put a couple better pics up when I get some daytime shots.

I agree with you, I did the same thing with my silver b7. I also put a black caractere trunk spoiler to finish the look.

One thing that sucked for me was trying to find the duplicolor bumper coating in the satin finish. I went to 4 places that sold Duplicolor product but they were all out of the satin color. I finally had to settle for their moulding/trim paint instead of the bumper coating.

How did the detail of the spray turn out? I get worried painting part of my car with spray paint. Did it turn really gritty like spray paint usually does?

^^^^Spray turned out very nice. It should be a little gritty, because that is how most of the unfinished plastic looks anyway. I'm very satisfied. Just added a couple more pics.

Nice one - I did the same the other week because the angle of the original Quartz Grey valance made it look like it was a different colour!

I originally did mine 'piano black' to match the B pillar:



But have since re done it using Satin Black:



I have to say though - I think it looks nicer against your white!


Ironically - the base SE models here in the UK come with satin black surround as standard!

Well, thank god you decided to switch to satin from the piano. It was nasty looking in the high gloss. Looks better the second time around. Its too bad you get shafted on the exhaust tips over there in the UK too. Car looks good though

Our base line cars also come with a non painted valance, but they are not satin black. It is an unfinished grayish plastic. Still doesn't look as good as black

Its just the stasis street sport. A little soft, but a good compromise for a street car. Its a little stiffer than the Sport suspension, not much though.

Each fender measures just about 25" from ground. Maybe 25 1/8
