that thing looks like a big pile of poo.

you'll think your seeing double when you see the tailpipes and the body has been over accessorized with vents and flares.

yea its not the best looking car...pictures do it no justice though

ive seen a few in person and have been somewhat impressed...i like the overall design but the front...too beluga whalish for me...they should have just used the regular IS design

for looks i would rather purchase an m3 or rs4..

yeah, not a big fan of how they cover up the entire engine with plastic panels, not as bad as acura with the TL, they basically covered everything with several big pieces of plastic to cover everything up.

I like how BMW does their engine bays:

any "covers" actually serve a purpose.

^^^ God I love how all the Japs always go for the "Pile of shit under the hood" look when it comes to engine bays. Not saying they're all crap, just saying that most Jap engine bays look like a fucking rat's nest.

well the thing that ruined the IS-F was that the styling for the normal IS is already pretty bold with big wheel arches and an aggressive front. Trying to make it look more mean caused it to look like an aftermarket body kit.

I just see a ton of crap ready to fail looking at that IS-F engine!

i know the RX300's have lots of electrical problems, when the Japanese try to do fancy electrical stuff they fail.

If Toyota tried to do what BMW does with the 7 series, they would have alot more problems than BMW ever will.

i 100% agree...the regular IS is very bold and agressive. To make the IS-F all that much bolder, it actually came out worse...I do like the sidevents, wheels, brakes, suspension, engine, and interior...but something about the exterior design....the front is just ouch

Genesis looks pretty good car overall, never driven one.

I'd get a jaguar XJR before the S class, the 7series or the A8. Its true to what its suppose to be, goes like a stabbed rat and IMO nothing short of a Rolls Royce has the presence of a Jag.

I'm on the fence about the overall styling, but the double stacked exhaust is just silly (and non-functional...Ferrari is actually going to ass-rape one of their new models with the double stacked exhaust, too - BOOO!)

I saw an IS-F this week right next to me on the road and the first thing that struck me was the beautiful color of the car - I believe it's called "Matador Red Mica" (at least that's Lexus' name for their stock red...if this car wasn't custom painted, I have to say that the Matador Red one helluva nice color! Maybe that's why I'm on the fence...

you know that the stacked tailpipes are fake, right? if you look under the rear bumper (or even through the stacked pipes) you'll see that it's just part of the bumper. the real exhaust ends before the bumper, and the pipes are just for show.

i'm a huge toyota fan, and the IS-F was a great direction to move toyota into the high performance luxury division, but i think they failed miserably in execution. i'd much rather save my money and get an is350 and mod the crap out of it with the leftover money.

im not the one who said that the m3 outperforms it... what i did see was a vid pairing it up against the rs-4 and if im not mistaken... it out performed that... ouch....BUT in my opinion, this video has a bias mood to it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oO9_9xdwWWc

and hers a vid of the m3 not really beating the is-f http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FRDL5hiEMto

    Re: saw a IS-F tonight

Theres a japanese video of 4 cars racing, IS350 IS-F E90 M3 sedan and another, I think it was an RS4, but the M3 pulls out for first and the ISF gets second. The M with out a doubt will out preform the IS in most categories except for maybe the 0-60 and 1/4 mile but when it comes to handling its not much, both the RS4 and M3 in this video were hugging its tail the whole time.

heres one I just found with the M3, ISf, Nismo 350z, and S2k i cant find the original video that I saw with the RS though..

    think about the future...
c-63= hand built engine... too complicated to supercharge.
    m3= too expensive to supercharge
    is-f= Japanese= uhhh... its Japanese
RS-4= awd... affordable supercharger might be coming out soon enough. i mean it IS a 4.2 ehhemmm awe/vf!!
