So i was looking on craigslist and i found an 02 a4 quattro 1.8tqm w/ 75k miles. White on beige interior, completely stock. No premium package, no sport package, just basic quattro. No listed price so i asked how much he was asking and he says $14,500 . Does anyone else get the same reaction from this as i do??

Thats not too bad. I paid 15K for my 04 w/ 39,000 miles ~ sport,winter & premium package in Jan 08.
Of course I wasnt "in the know" about AZ at the time and could have probably seeked out a better deal, but to the average person who isnt an Audizine junkie and just wants a decent A4...thats about right.

That asking price is completely retail that is what it books for in spotless, flawless condition. I got my 02 w/73,000 for 11k and its got the all weather package and it is exceptionatly clean. It did book for 14k+ at the time.

Hell, a decent B6 2002 - 2003 with low km is in the 20's. you guys are living the canadian buyers dream. cheaper gas, cheaper cars...im in Alberta and we have the oil and we still get fu at the pump hehe.

Paid 6500 for my 2002, it has 89k, sport, bose, xenons, it has a couple flaw(mirror was broken off and the drives seat needs to be replaced eventually)

It all depends on the area really. When I got my '02 sport/premium/winter packaged A4 with 34K miles back in 2006, I paid $18K.

yeah i've heard that actually. I've had a couple canadians some down to washington just as a car buying trip. Although the exchange rate hasn't been so forgiving for you canadians in the past. But thanks to our shit economy right now that's all changing for you. But i made him an offer on it and he didn't refuse, he said he needs to think about it. So i'm hoping he comes to his senses and drops the price haha.

i bought a 03 a4 1.8 tqm with 85k on it. no sport, completely stock. for $9,900. got it from a dealership too. one owner, and he bought the car there did all the service there, then traded it in for a new a4. thats a hosing price right there.

I think that people's single experience on buying or selling a car does not dictate if it's "too much" or not =/ One purchase does not define the market at all.
I just bought my 02 3.0q tip fully loaded besides nav with 82k miles for 11,900. I was also looking at an identical car even down to the miles with a 1.8t going for 14k. It just depends =/ KBB wise these cars are worth a good bit, all depends on what area you live in and how much someone's willing to pay.
