Sad day for avants

Well today started out great, cleaned the house and then went to get some food with a buddy. On my way back im approaching an intersection with a car coming towards me waiting for pedestrians to cross the street. Just as I get to the intersection he decides to turn into me . I kinda swerve a little to avoid him and he hits me in the driver side corner. I will let the pics do the rest of the talking....

I've been smashed into by some idiot while i was driving my old avant so i definitely know how it feels.

it doesn't look totalled.... it'll be back in full force soon hopefully. good luck dealing with the other guy's insurance company.

make sure you get a copy of the police report. did the other guy admit fault?

I hope its not totaled, I hope everything works out in my favor. I mean it would be hard for him to say it was my fault, I have some witnesses too so hopefully that will help my case.

I hope she will be back to normal. Its just sad not having her in my parking spot. I have only had her a month and a half and then this happens. Im trying to get oem rs4 bumper, so we will see what happens.

Yeah look at the bright side, you can pick up an RS4 bumper and you'll have some great new paint and no stone chips on the front end once they blend it all together.

Still, its a bummer. But it can be fixed!

well a little update, having it towed down to a shop in sacramento to the body work and of course the other person involved is saying it is my fault with some bullshit. So now I have to deal with that. thanks for all your support.

Accidents suck man, hope it doesnt become a lawsuit. Just from the pics, doesnt look like any frame damage could have happened so a real high chance its not totaled.

...but I agree with everyone else. Insurance monies make it all new again with better parts !

Worst case is you buy it back from them. It'll have a salvage title but you'll have an S4 Avant. They are getting rare. Shit, I'd buy it from you if I had the money laying around.

+1 on the fixing route - had my 1st ride in a B5 S4 Avant last weekend and I was very impressed - totally different feel to my setup. I've even started to soften on my "B6 is waaay better looking than the B5" opinion that I've been carrying around for so long...
