Hey guys, anyone have a picture of a black b6 with blackout grills? Also does anyone have a pic of a b6 with only a blacked out lower grill? I would have used the "search" feature but we all know that thing is a big myth and does not work. seriously at all....no matter what you search for it brings up the same results.

    Re: Grillz?...

Shop is installing the black grill set from OEMpl.us on my black avant while the front end is getting repainted, just anxious to see how it will look on a black car! Really wanted to accent it with smoked e-codes but its not in the budget

Anyone have a pic or two? If not then I guess I will post some up in about 10 days

Euro-Spec housing with clear side markers instead of yellow on US spec cars. The B5 crowd calls them e-codes.

I've only blacked out the trim. Grill it self is still body color
Don't mind the ride height. It's winter.

Thanks, only had her since July so its a start, but I'm planning a lot more.

Anyways I just wrapped the chrome trim with that flat black vinyl that's on ebay. If you have a heat gun and some scissors it'll take maybe an hour to do both after you get the grills out (check out a4mods.com for a guide for taking them out). I wanted to leave the plastic part dark grey so there would be some contrast. I like how it came out, subtle but aggressive, and only cost me $15 for the vinyl, and an hour of my time.

Nice job, really looks good. Not sure on the spray black, seen some up close and they're always peeling and chipping.

How does the vinyl hold up to rock chips?

    Re: Grillz?...

So far I don't have any chips. I've used black primer so it will have to be pretty deep chip in order to be noticeable.
