rs4 intake manifold, w8 throttle body on 2.8 30v

Anybody have experience with running an rs4 intake manifold and either an rs4 TB or W8 TB on a 2.8? I know s4 guys run 2.8 heads, and I've been reading about them using rs4 intake manifold so they can run a bigger throttle body. I'm sure the price for all the parts in a lot. How much of an effect would it have on a 2.8? Probably minimal hp/tq gains.. but a hell of a lot better throttle response?

Bad idea, the RS4 manifold has very short runners for use on a forced induction set up, now if you had a PES G1 on your 2.8 then it might be a different story, and even if you were s/cd I think it'd be more trouble ($$) than its worth.

rs4 intake manifold sounds like the largest waste of money on a n/a 2.8. I dont think that motor pushes enough ponies to see a difference. Maybe the larger tb will help though. Whats the w8 and rs4? 4"tb?

Ah, didn't even think about it being setup up for the forced induction. Just knew it matched the 2.8 head. I figured it was a waste of money... thinking out loud tonight

Nothing unless its totally custom, the way the TB bolts into the intake manifold would make it pretty tricky to bore out the mani and fit a larger one, and after all that you might get 1-3 hp realistically. Get an exhuast (basically for the sound) and save up for a supercharger. My old 2.8 had a chip exhaust and underdrive pulley and they all helped but trust me never look at advertised numbers especially on a n/a 2.8 liter...

Haha I know how you feel, second year here, and the only way I've been able to afford it is by doing all my own wrenching.
