    P1103 and P0420...

I searched and found only three posts related to P1103 and I found different explanations for the code also.

    From http://www.bentleypublishers.com/tec....dtc.table.htm it says:
    - O2 Sensor Heating Circ.,Bank1-Sensor1 Output too Low

And from http://www.motorworksperformance.com/c/P and a couple posts it says:
    - MAF Sensor In Range But Higher Than Expected

    Which description is correct?
I've been getting the cat efficiency codes for a couple months now, very annoying, my new HFC only "worked" for about 6 months before the codes started coming.
But what's up with the P1103? Are they related? Do I need a new O2 sensor or is my cat just not doing a good enough job?

    its the o2 sensor code

    from your page:
    P1XXX --- MANUFACTURER CONTROLLED

and the link at the top to vw/audi specific codes:

    Re: P1103 and P0420...

You need to do the fouler mod. Here is the link to the process. I myself get the P0420 code every couple of weeks and already have the foulers drilled and ready to put on. But the 02 sensor is on the bung rather snug and will need to have it installed professionally. I could not even take it off with PB Blaster and an 02 sensor remover/installation adaptor from Autozone.

    you answered your own question.

Option A: do the defouler mod
Option B: get a quality tuning company that can flash your car so that it doesn't throw those codes and your CEL. (hint: not GIAC, APR, or Neuspeed)

    Re: P1103 and P0420...

That's what I figured but because there are two different definitions for that code I wanted to double check.
I was also wondering if there was something wrong with the sensor because I've been getting the cat efficiency for a couple months whereas the sensor issue just showed up.
Is it possible the sensor has been damaged by the inefficient cat?
