I just looked at your pictures again. Your pipes come straight out of the IC pretty far before they turn. That will hinder your ability to get the grilles in place.
There are two screws up top that bolt the lights to the core support. Then two in the back on the bottom that bolt the light to the lower bracket. That lower bracket then bolts to the core support in the front under the headlight in two locations. It has adjustment in those two locations to go up and down. Likewise, your bumper has adjustment where the bumper struts bolt into the core support.
You can kind of see the flat bracket that goes under the headlight on the driver side of this shot on my car.
clicky click. The bracket is removed from the passenger side but you can see the two shiny recessed nuts that hold the bracket on for the passenger side. Let me do some digging in iPhoto for some more pictures an then I'll upload them. I can't find any better shots on my flickr account.
Did you get a new core support? I think I remember getting a new hood and radiator in addition to this bumper. Sounds like everything just needs a little TLC with some fine tuning alignment for all the components. I'm around this weekend if you want to figure it out.
