Robots in Disguise

How come whenever I shut down my car it sounds like tiny little robots are going about their business in my glovebox? Its the sort of thing you might expect a disc changer to sound like...but my disc changer is in dash. So whats that noise coming from in/behind the glovebox?

if it sounds like a dying cow with a broken leg being dragged behind a bus then it's ur secondary air pump.

If it sounds like clicking then it's ur A/C flaps

if it sounds like loose rocks being shaken in a shoe box it is ur airbox

if it sounds like a 747-400 turning off it's Rolls Royce engine then it is ur turbo

Hmmm I will have to take a few field tests to give you a proper diagnosis and comparison.

It sounds like some clicking and grinding and things moving. Doesn't sound like anything is breaking or dying. Definitely not mooing.

I think this 747 sound in the a/c blower, because it happen when you turn off the car and it happen too if you only turn off the climate control... I have ever touhgt it was the turbo but it's not IMO.

The mooing sound only comes from the APR DV. It's patent pending.

and as for the 747 thing, it only happens if u turn ur car off right after u put it in park or stopped without letting it idle.

When I'm at low boost with my K03 and let off I get this really high pitched chirp. Man I need an upgraded turbo haha.

Nice analogies, however if my car ever sounds like a dying cow being dragged behind a bus then i doubt i'm going to check the secondary air pump; more likely ghost ride that bitch off a cliff.
