Radio blew up

I was driving down the highway yesterday listening to my iPod via a tape adapter in my car and all of a sudden I heard a loud pop (over my music with windows down going 75), the radio shut off and started smoking from the tape deck. I managed to pull the tape adapter out and it's fine so that wasn't the problem but it definitely smells like something got fried. Any of you audiophiles know what the problem is or has anyone had this happen to them?

I've checked fuses, etc. Everything looks fine. I need to find a set of radio keys so I can pull it out and dissect it.

as far as repairing it, you prob won't have much luck, either replace it with another stocker, or go aftermarket, ebay has a few concerts and such for sale

I managed to get the radio out with a file. Because I know ALOT of you were very worried about the well-being of my HU, I thought I'd let you know that it's working again!
I unplugged it, let it sit for a couple of minutes, plugged it back in and voila! No idea how or why it works but thank god it does. Now I can get back to bumpin' "That Baby Don't Look Like Me" by Lil' Jon and Shawty Putt
