    Just got burned by ECS Tuning again. I had a bunch of parts that I didn't use and tried to returned them but was denied store credit.

    I'll try selling them on the forums and ebay, but I'll be lucky to get half of what I paid for them back.

    Just wanted to give everyone a heads up about their return policy. Almost every store in the world will give you store credit after 30 days. Once again they've proven how un-tuner friendly they can be!

    half the time if they (ECS) ship you the wrong product you get screwed by them too. They ask you to ship it back (at your expense) before they ship you the right product. Then they never re-emburse you for the shipping. Both to you for the wrong part, and back to them for the wrong part they asked you to ship back.

    If you let them charge you for the replacement and have them ship it to you in the mean time you may or may not get the credit back for the wrong part.. I have given up on the company. Never actually received an order compelete with the parts i actually ordered.

    I didn't order the wrong parts, just didn't need them. The HID bulbs are the wrong ones, I have an 02 with D1S bulbs, not D2S.

    This happened to me. I haven't bought anything from them since.

    I'm bummed about the bulbs the most! Those are expensive and I have already tried to sell them on the classifieds once before.

    not a fan of ecs...i was screwed by them once and thats all it takes for me..plus if you try to order something for $5, they charge you $10 for shipping

    i used to be a retailer of ECS and never had a problem. we had a grille that had a little nick in them and they always paid for shipping back to them.. good always called back.. and after 30 days? what shop is going to give ua refund after THIRTY days.. most places are now 14... and unless u get ur parts from macys which is 180 days.. but then again... yeah.. anyway... i tink its fair.. u bought it.. u had 30 whole days.. so i mean your fault. man.. i stand up for ecs.

    and before someone says, ou work for them, or this or because u sell for them... i USED to sell for them, the shop closed few months ago so i could care less about their rep, but they always treated us good, and 2 day shipping? psssh cant beat that.

    read original post wasn't asking for a cash refund. Just wanted store credit. And yes, most Autoparts stores(Napa, blah blah blah) give store credit with receipt if it's still in original packaging after 30 days.

    I'm glad you've had good luck with them. You are the minority though, which sucks because they do have a lot of good parts.

    i had the wrong rotors shipped to my place (two times), and they made me pay for shipping back on the first one... the second time i was so frustrated that I convinced them otherwise

    I've heard several bad stories about ECS, so this is obviously not just a one time thing.

    BUT from personal experience I never had any problems. I've put in several orders, big & small. Fast shipping & correct parts. There was only time when they sent me a wrong part. And they took care of shipping & resent a new one. So I can't really complain about that.
