bonnet lining

Hi guys and girls
I know I'm not the one posting this question on this forum but i just cant find the old one.
Few people said they dont have bonnet lining which prevent the heat transfer from engine to surface of bonnet. I ignored that question because i didnt have my car that time. I picked mine last night and after parked my garage put my hands on bonnet. It was too hot to stay touched. The coolant gauge was on middle which was fine. Mine is B7 1.8TQ s-line.
I got back to dealer and they shown me other model and proved me they all dont have that shield or lining. But i am still concern that paint will crack later on like frequent 9 hours drive on highway. I wont drive 9 hours everyday but sometimes Ill. This still have 7 years paint warranty. Should i buy that cover from others and put it on? or would it be fine without it?
the local dealer said they dont sell it.

I doubt they would warranty the paint for 7 years if they thought it was likely to crack without a shield.

no no that was my thought. of course they said it wont crack. but it was my concern.

you front will be destroyed with rock chips before the paint cracks. there for i think it's a good idea to get the protection film or front bonnet to protect the front from rocks
