Meth not only reduces the detonation point but does lower the iat's considerably.
From what iv gathered the meth when injected evaporates (which causes a rapid drop in temperature and very's on the mixture 50/50 / 30/70...)
Im not saying a FMIC dosent do a good job, I know it does. But for the money and the added ability to bump up timing makes it (in my mind) a much better choice for a street setup on a small turbo.
Read through the thread that i posted above.
Maybe you read that their TB rusted seeing that there is no way its going to drop 190+ F deg temps to well below 32F degs. The only thing I know of that will drop IAT's to freezing temps is Nitrous. I guess you have no clue what a w/m injection actually does.
First off the water is used to soak up the heat out of the air, the meth is there as a fuel to increase octane. In no way does either of them actual freeze the air.
Fact is that nearly every person that is running a w/m injection kit is also running a FMIC since they are using the injection to lower the temps a bit more after the FMIC brings the temps back down to ambient temps and to increase the octane since they are running pump gas instead of race fuel.
Injection setups have been around longer then most of us on this forum have been alive, if it was that great it would be on every stock FI car from the factory.
Where is this huge savings you keep talking about? It isn't like the tank of a W/M injection kit fills itself up for free, either are replacement parts when they become clogged and they do.
