    Rough Idle

I recently bought an 06 A4 Avant Q S-line 2.0 Tip and when the car is at idle, it seems a little rough compared to my 07 A4 2.0 I just turned in. I noticed a difference after driving my 07 back to the dealer today. The previous owner replaced the motor mounts and crankcase valve (???) but I think it's still rough in comparison. The gas mileage is also not as good.... I'm sure it could be many things but any thoughts???

    Re: Rough Idle

For an "Audi" there is no way this should be acceptable and I hope there is a fix for such an annoying problem ,I bought my A4 for not only style but also comfort.

    Re: Rough Idle

My 08 seems to idle kind of rough sometimes too, I was thinking of taking it in. I first need to try to figure out in what conditions it was more likely to do it, so the dealer doesnt just blow me off and say nothing is wrong.

    Re: Rough Idle

get fuel injection service done (might be a ripoff but it doesn't hurt to try)...
    maybe a mild tuneup...
check your oil dip stick for sludge... maybe you want to try seafoaming your car... into your gas tank and into oil and other places (check the DIY section)
    check your PCV
