    Re: forge DV maintenance??

Just go ahead a do it. Just use some high temp synthetic grease like mobile 1 or something. DV's are very simple, grease on the piston is about all it needs. Although I like to put some on the ends of my spring and piston(where it closes).

    Re: forge DV maintenance??

Wipe the entire DV with a rag. Use Mobil 1 synthetic grease and apply a nice layer on the outside of the piston (the cylinder part that glides on the inside wall of the dv), inside wall of the dv, and a very small amount on the top rim. Make sure you tighten clamps well when putting back and zip tie the vacuum line on the top of the dv.
