oil around spark plug

Used to lick there, replaced valve cover gaskets but still licking

anybody had that problem before, cant find how to fix it.

lol lick.. the word is spelled LEAK! check the washers on the spark plugs i guess..

Your spark plugs torqued down enough? Which clyinder is it leaking at?

lol yeah sorry about spelling, all spark plugs torqued good, it stoped leaking now. I think it happend cuz it was new gaskets. but now that coil pack went out, leaving me in Hillsvile VA for overnight stay :(

I know i was about to write an educational post on how my dumb ass didnt buy one before driving 700 miles away

while im waiting for it i ordered 2 coil packs, new washer pump, fixed my broken window, replaced injector seal kit, replaced rubber in my wipers, and fixed autoleveling(somehow it unsneped while i was driving). So not too horible of a stop

More then likely you have a valve cover that needs to be replaced, also you PCV system maybe clogged causing over pressuring of the valve cover area causing the gasket to blow out.

that's interesting but i dont get the part that i have to replace valve cover

, thanks anyway. I hope my gasket holds until i get back and get rid of vacum crap system while im installing FMIC

What do you mean? Is it not leaking anymore? Was your VC tightened down properly? There are 2 separate pieces for the valve cover gasket. If it still leaks then the one that needs replacing for sure is the center gasket that goes around the 4 spark plugs...

when you order VC gasket kit, it comes with two gaskets external and internal, i replaced both, drove for about two day and retightend it. Next day after second retightment i was replacing spark plugs and my 4th(closes to firewall) coil was completely soaked in oil so i cleaned it up, and when it eventially failed it was clean. So i think both of my old gaskets were leaking, and once new gasket actually got to the right temperature and shape it was leaking a little bit, but after finall adjustment everything worked as it should. except it killed my coil pack
