? about swapping a BT module for a factory installed onstar module

A few weeks ago, someone posted in this forum a writeup on how to swap an oem bt module into a 2004 S4 equipped with factory onstar. I have an RNS E with MFSW, Sirius, and Ipod I had printed the pin configuration diagram, and followed the instructions, as I remembered them, swapped the pins in the connector, installed the BT antenna in the electronics box, but have no phone audio either on the mic or speakers, but the phone paired up find and transferred the phone book. The MFSW worked both radio and when I pushed the R/T button, it would say not ready. Now the wheel only works the radio and nothing changes when I push the R/T button. I have been trying to located this post and its author, but can't seem to find it. Tried searching on multiple keywords...Can anyone help me out here on whether there are any additional steps that need to be taken to get the audio working? Do I need to change any coding since the radio sees the Bluetooth module and its paired and transferring data?
    TIA
