Radiator fan stays on for a short period of time after car is off

So i got home today, park my car turn it off. Shortly before i turned it off the radiator fans came on. I would assume that they would turn off when the car turns off as I've seen all other cars in the past do but they didnt. They stayed on for a good minute after. This was after i locked the car and everything thinking that maybe if I lock it they will turn off.

I have a 2008 with the new TFSI motor. Is this normal?

it's normal. The fan still needs to cool your engine, whether or not the car is on or off.

I would be more concerned if the fan was never on after a long ride in the car.
