A boost gauge too involved!?! It doesn't get much easier than a boost gauge. I did my apr one in a couple hours taking my time.

I've read the DIY at A4mod...it really seems much more involved that I am willing to get into.

I don't want to sacrifice a vent. I want to do the one where you pull the instrument cluster out and drill the holes and insert tiny led lights. Does any one have experience with that particular one?

I'm willing to help people at the gtg. I have the vent one and it's easy to install. You may be sacrificing a vent but the middle one only helps the rear passengers and screw them :)
It doesn't reduce the air flow when you have the ac on and its a clean and easy install.

I do not have a middle vent on my allroad. Only 2 vents in the middle of the dash and it is VERY important that the passenger in the back gets fresh air. My 16 month old daughter is back there in her car seat most of the time.

Air still flows around the boost gauge. I have had zero complaints with my rear passengers. Also i might add, i thinks it's the best place to keep a stock look, even more so when the lighting matches. :)

The boost gauge DIY is very easy. The hardest part is routing the power lines and the hose. Should not take more than 2 hours including prep and clean up.

Re: Need Boost Gauge and someone to install it.

From a friend, lol. But no for real a friend hooked it up. I can try and see if he can get another one for you. The pod does not fit exact but it holds it there and does not move yet ( I have not drove the car since I put it in waiting for fueling and ecu). He actually sent me one for a 52mm gauge so I just made the whole a little bigger. The gauge is made by STRI and it has all the recall/warning features like Defi. You can get in a red led to match but I like the white. Pm me if you want me to ask him.
