So i bout my a4 last september and its been great fun but something is missing and im not entirely happy with it as far as performance/ driver feel. so lurking on the internet ive come upon the 0% financing for 72 monthes on new gtis. Im kinda upside down on my lease about 7 grand if i were to trade it in but even then i still can have a cheaper payment than what i have right now. Thats another one of my reasons im thinking of parting out. Due to these economic times im looking to save money. What do you guys think? good move or not? I have yet to drive a gti but ill be swinging by the dealership in a few days.

parting out as in mods?

Its a tough decision, only you can answer...you lose here but win somewhere else..overall you break even, I would imagine. Everyone says the A4 does lack performance, its not a supper quick car, but it is fun to drive. Once you do a few engine mods (chip,fmic, etc) you feel the car a bit more faster. Although this car stock will not beat a gti dsg, but its still an Audi.

Where in socal are you? Ill take you for a ride in my stock car, I am sure you will like your A4 after it.

My cousin has an mk4 gti, very fast fun little car, but in no way will I have as much fun doing canyon runs, very fast turns, etc...which I enjoy in this car.

What do you want out of a car? What type of performance are you talking about?

Just remember VW are assembled in Mexico and A4's are made in whole by the Germans. Every time I see some one pass me by in a GTI I feel they envey me in the A4, I would.

OP: Even if your monthly payments are less, you are rolling in that 7k of negative equity. If you really sit down and do the math, you will be losing money in the long run. So, you justification of doing this because of the economy just flew out the window.
