I used GIAC and it did improve throttle response, also added like 5hp. I'm saving up for S/C, you will be hungry for more.

The sprint booster is some electronic thing that you fit into the DBW system that increases throttle response. I forget exactly how it works but if you search you'll find the thread.

    Re: throttle response

i think there was a writeup or its in the b6 easter eggs thread about resetting the drive by wire thats connected to your ecu. something about turning the key on and pressing the pedals or something. anyway it resets how the car reacts to you pushing the throttle so that its more responsive or something like that. idk i did it and the car drove differently

    Re: throttle response

yeah, i found that last night, our throttle bodies much like many of the newer cars these days are a "drive by wire" type T B.. instead of the cable like older vehicles had, we have a sensor that detects pedal movement and sends the signal to the throttle body... thus giving the term "drive by wire" its simply a throttle body reset

yes, sorta rectangular box like, if you look at it from the end to the front, it almost looks like a figure 8.

if you look at the inlet and outlet to this thing, you'll know right away why the resonator is a must replace on these cars!

you can probably find the same clutch and flywheel for much cheaper elsewhere. do a search trust me. i could have saved a few hundred bucks if i had looked around before buying from awe. not trashing awe in anyway. great company. theyre shipping was fast and they were full of information that helped me. just shop around. the LWFW is awesome though. in all honesty the chatter is not bad. you can deal with it for how much quicker the car takes off

Well AWE sells SB clutch kits. If its just a S4 2.7 LWFW then any of them made for the 2.7 should work.

Pretty sure the S4 and RS4 share the same crank seeing that they are both 2.7 liter.

    Re: throttle response

resonator, a lil louder, or you can cut it out, and replace with two magnaflows, if you're really concerned. might be ever so slightly raspier.

grounding kit, in the eng compart, basically, you have roughly 5+ more heavy guage wire grounds. you find some good chassis points, and you ground the car more. my FM reception got slightly better too : )

    Here you go

Looking on AWE's site they dont list a "rs4" flywheel, they do sell a clutch kit for the S4 that includes a RS4 clutch and a 13.4 lbs lwfw (not OEM RS4).

For 2.7T owners looking for lightning fast throttle response and engine spool up, add our lightweight flywheel. This aluminum flywheel weighs in 13.6 lbs lighter than the stock unit (13.4lbs) and comes complete with a factory pilot bearing and all mounting hardware. Less rotating mass means liberated engine power.

Here is the lwfw they offer for their SB S4 kits.

Couple these kits with our lightweight 12lbs aluminum flywheel for noticeably faster throttle action, perfect for heel and toe driving. Save on pricing, too, with this combo.

Odd thing is that both use the same exact picture.
