    SAT Radio No Sound

    My car came with XM and I went ahead and bought the Sirius receiver since thats who I was subscribed to. So I take out the old and swap in the new. Call up Sirius and have them beam me the signal. I get all the info to show up: Station, Artist, Title, etc but I have absolutely no sound!

    I took it into the dealership (since I bought the receiver there) and they tell me its a bad receiver. I dont believe them, I just think they were too lazy to fix it so...lets give him a brand new part! So same situation, no sound but I obviously have a signal. I researched all about SAT rad before buying this. I made sure the CAN bus was in the right position, etc.

    Any one else experience the same problem? I appreciate any help Oh and I just have the plain old Symphony II radio.

    Re: SAT Radio No Sound

    found the answer to my problem. You cannot have an ipod adapter and the sat radio hooked up at the same time. The blue connector that the ipod connector replaces, holds the cables for the satellite radio audio.

    I'm pretty sure enfig sells an adaptor that would allow you to run both, I don't have an I-pod so I don't care (Zune)

    yeah enfig sells an adapter. basically you have to run a cable to the sat box in the truck. I had to do that to have my ipod and SAT connected at the same time.

    Ok this wasn't as straight forward as i thought. I don't want to get the enfig adapter as I am only looking for the SAT to work, but when I pulled out the radio I found that all of the SAT wires were hooked up to ipod adapter and I can't find any sign of the satellite receiver wires for the life of me. Does anyone know if they're hiding in the radio area or what wires do I connect to get SAT sound? From this other thread (http://www.audiworld.com/tech/elec140.shtml) I'm looking for wires 10 and 13.

    Just wanted to update with my experience;

    Late model 08 A4 2.0T, Symphony 2+, Factory iPod dock in glovebox

    Installed Sirius Sat tuner, moved Can Bus connector, Have both SAT and iPod sound with NO adapters.

    Seems the Late model 08 cars are wired differently.
