hey guys... i know there have been a million topics about seafoam and i searched and posted in an older thread but no one replied... I don't think too many people are looking at it... but i had a few quick questions about it

Is a ziptie ok to secure the hose after taking the clamp off or is it reusable? Some people have said once you take it off you can't use it again. Also.. how soon does the oil change need to be done after running it through the intake manifold? I know if you put seafoam in the crankcase it needs to be done fairly soon but if I just run it through the intake manifold / gas tank for now then wait awhile to run it through the crankcase and do an oil change will that be ok?

    from what i read:
    a ziptie is fine.
change your oil asap if you put it into the crankcase. some say 50 miles, some say 5mins. truth is if its in your oil too long it can start clearing out stuff you dont want cleared out.
its fine to do only do the intake or only do the gas tank.
an oil change is not needed if you do the intake only.

im one of the guys who says change the oil after about 5 mins. seafoam cleans efficiently, and leaving it in for 50 miles or whatever number around there is way more than needed for it to work. after 5 miles you're just going to be driving around with a bunch of junk in your oil clogging the uptake screen, working your oil pump harder.

Yea I was thinking the same thing... 5 miles sounds plenty to let it work through the engine

i read in some thread that you can have seafoam in the engine up to 10000k, i guess that was way off. So if you do end up putting seafoam in the engine you have to change the oil right away (up to 5k)?
and what about when you put it in your gas tank. (put it in when its empty and fill it up)?
