    Engine Cover

So I was sad when i first opened my hood back in feb and there was no cover for the battery. I wanted the cover but wasn't going to spend $100 + $100 shipping from ECS. So I went to genuineaudiparts.com and got them for $50 shipped!! If anyone knows the part number for the washer fluid cover let me know.

These are the part numbers for the 2 covers: 8E1-819-422-A-01C, and
    8E1-819-447-01C

    Re: Engine Cover

They charge a lot for their pieces. The OEM Blackout grill is almost 400$ from them. If you use some plasti dip and take the grill to a auto shop that can paint, you have that done for way under $100.

As far as quality of their product goes....I bought the Ziza lights from them and have had a very time installing them. The LED's fall out of the socket. Not a good first impression.

    Re: Engine Cover

They are very very expensive and I cant seem to understand why...Really...
They should sell them the same pric or a bit cheaper so as to have a reason to buy OEM parts from them and not the dealership...

OtherWise, DealerShip rulez, FTW etc etc...Simple as that...

I would put the covers too, but dont want to add wait...Beautiful though :)

Yeah ECS for some reason wants a lot of money for these parts. And there shipping is killer! I just couldn't spend around $200 for engine covers. And the parts genuineaudiparts sells are OEM parts. The package that the piece came in had the stickers from germany on them.

    Thanks for the comments Doctor!

    Re: Engine Cover

I just took a look and it just seems to be a cap. I tried to take mine off but it was starting to break a little bit so i stopped. maybe if you need to add wires through the wall you can do it there!

    Re: Engine Cover

I found the part number listed in the FAQ, 8E0-103-927-F. Genuine Audi Parts is the way to go. Always helpful to me.

    Re: Engine Cover

The access cover is the battery cover. As far as the other cover. If you search your car it will be under '"cowl" then cowl cover. from there you should able to find it. You can send them an email just to make sure. they respond pretty quick. I would assume that they are all the same.

    Re: Engine Cover

I wish I was home to take a picture of the parts I now have, but they're all still in boxes. I have the ECS dress up and the CF engine / and engine bay covers plus the carbonio so the engine bay is good to go now. Once I get home I will definitely post some pics.
