so my ABS module went out and in an attempt to fix it, i think i made it irrepairable. i dont think i can send it off. (now that i know what i'm doin i could do the job)

so i need a used one......and i have a guy who'd give me one if he had the right one ....my module ends in 283 and he doesnt have that one. i know he has 284 (quattro) and maybe 285 (w/ASR).

He was wondering if he could give me one of those and somehow have it reprogrammed to be my module because he said physically they are the exact same.?
    please help
    thanks

Oh and what would happen if i put a module made for a car with ASR in my car?
    ASR stuck on permanently?
Or no function at all from abs module?

    anyone ever tried that one?

I've got a bunch of cores that I've repaired sitting around and could probably find one for you. I could also take a look and probably salvage your botched repair job if you give me more info. See my reply to your other post.
