So after seeing GTRS A4's video get ripped apart, I went and shot a 0-60 for a comparison between his GT71R and a GTRS. I realize it seems that his car is not performing correctly. Another note... I got my friend to hold my point and shit camera, who was uncomfortable with going up to 100mph. I didn't quite feel comfortable with going 100 and shifting without a hand on the wheel by myself either.

Everybodies reviewing their BT setups, so I figure... why not? This is after one month with the kit.
To start, I'll talk about installation. I went from apr stage1 to this, so needless to say the car felt amazing upon completion. The car was otherwise bone stock for the 18 months I've owned it. I had probably read through the DIY install on a4mods.com 3 times before even deciding to go BT, which helped a ton.
Getting the car ready for install was fairly straight forward, drain this, unbolt that. Ran into a few snags though, mainly at the boost reservoir and the bracket to the K03. These nasty bolts stripped and required me to buy some vice-grips for the job. (these things are great, and I wish I had them earlier) I do wish that I had upgraded the oil/coolant lines when I did the install, and overall wish I had pieced my own kit together. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with this kit! Installing it is pretty damn easy as well. The ATP exhaust manifold (new version) that everybody complains about (...probably only complained about the old version) was not a problem for a small wrench and a lot of patience. If you're trying to mate up a Racetec FMIC with the gtrs you may have some fitment issues as I did. Easiest way for me to get it the way I wanted was to saw about 2 inches off the end that mates to the turbo. Another problem I had was flushing the radiator, figured it would flush on it's own, but got worried when my coolant warning came on and my temp gauge pinned at "hot as fuck". Well eventually it did work itself out, I just kept topping it off until all the air in the system was gone.
EDIT
I am not using the 550cc injectors, but received the 440cc Delphis with the kit, which from what I hear are second best. (Ecodetuning's website does not mention these injectors, but rather the Bosch injectors. They do not use the Bosch anymore from my understanding. They do not send you new oil/coolant lines like pictured on the website, and lastly, they do not use the Turbonetics variable boost controller. You should receive a forge UNOS boost controller instead, which actually retails for more than the Turbonetics.
I got the NS Xtreme TIP with the GTRS kit, make sure you have small hands or you'll probably have ~20 scars like I do now. It was kind of a pain to get onto the velocity adapter from above, but had a much easier time from below the car. (not leaning over the car with fully extended arms)
The E-pipe test pipe added an extra mean note/tone to my Neuspeed exhaust, and that lovely gasoline smell. I personally can't smell it while driving around but it is noticeable upon getting out of the car. Not really a downside, unless you hate the smell of gasoline.
/EDIT
On to the performance. I have not raced a single car, I have not done a 1/4 mile, and I have not dyno'd. All I have done is log log log and have some fun. I run the car on 93 v-power all the time, with SPS at T5-6 (can't remember) and B9 (controlled via MBC set at 22 psi) According to my friends super accurate cell phone timer the car now goes from 0-60 in about 5 seconds. Now this is with a STOCK CLUTCH Everybody says, upgrade your clutch... well obviously. For whatever reason I said "Eff that, I just won't launch my car or floor it in first". Well, I can easily burn up my clutch full engaged in 2nd. So, don't be dumb like me, get a clutch and avoid possible heartache/wallet-ache. I can not say when I hit max boost exactly but I think it's around 3800? (from memory) And I have no idea when it hits post doing the n249 bypass. If I'm flooring it, I will shift at about 6200 rpms, don't know if that's optimal or not, but it still feels strong by then.
Alright it's time for my lunch break from work, and will wrap this up relatively fast.
Would I do it again? Yeah, why not?
Gas consumption.. Well the other day I went for a drive, which netted me 100 miles on half a tank. Now taking it easy-ish for the rest of the tank my gas light is on and I'm at about 300 miles total. Should easily be able to hit 400/450 miles on a tank.
Went ahead and put a cone filter on the MAF, sounds great. Made up my own heat shield that has been doing a good job in this 60 degree weather. I'm going to purchase some reflect-a-cloth and slap it on the aluminum heat shield. After flooring it around for half an hour I popped the hood and grabbed the air filter... it was cool, the TIP was cool, everything on the left side of that shield was cool, so I was rather happy. Just figure the reflective material can only make it amazing.
I'll update more later if I can think of anything, I can only think of lasagna right now
And BIG THANKS to martini for a4mods, 400hpa4 for vag-com help and anybody who helped decipher my awful logs and any other help along the way.
