    Re: New Gato

Both ones in the link do not look like they mount up to the turbo and downpipe designed for the B5 chasis. If you need to replace a faulty one, it is better to just get a used one from a person whom has an extra laying around. I gave mine to a fellow AZ member a couple months ago and just told him to pay for shipping.

Our catalyst converters do not have hangers attached to it and is held in place by bolting it to the turbo and the downpipe. The ones in the link look like ones which are relocated requiring a turboback exhaust.

    Re: New Gato

1fstavant said he will sell you his for $100+shipping. You could also try the classfied section for people parting thier cars. Here is a list I pulled from the B5 A4 list when I searched "parting out". One of the sellers on there also has a business where they sell parts off of salvaged vehicles, but I do not see a cat on thier list. They should carry many in thier inventory and usually have great prices. You should check out thier website, give them a call, and see what they say. Very freindly, kind, and helpfull people. Link
