anyone know where a good place we can do this at? anywhere with a fat ass parking lot of course and BBQ. i went to a s2k meet at bakers beach and it turned out pretty nice so i was thinking there. ideas are open!

this is kind of a tough order for san francisco: parking lot with area to bbq, besides the marina and beaches. 99% of the parks don't have off street parking. we can try westlake park in daly city (right by lake merced). there are two baseball diamonds and 4 tennis courts with a fairly large parking lot. just no grassy fields.
if we run a small group, then maybe somewhere in gg park or even alamo square. we'll just have to find street parking.

crissy field. tons of parking near the beach and then there is also a patch of green where people do a BBQ during july4th weekends. people usually park their car on the greens right next to where the BBQ is set up. for those who know what im talking about, its in the area near the buidling where the restrooms are. 20 feet away is already the beach.

to be honest i dont know. i know for 4th of july my buddies did set up early to claim a spot. for a ny normal weekend - no clue.

Easy to get a spot for everyone to park and work on cars close to the BBQ on an average weekend at Chrissy Field. Only thing to look out for is any sort of event. If there is an event other than ours....it can get brutal real early.

I was just up there this past Saturday. There's plenty of parking, ample BBQ pits, plenty of picnic tables, and the beach is right there.

If it is the small stuff, probably okay. What is the worst that can happen? They will just tell you not to work on it. Just don't pull any engines!

Usually Saturdays work out best for me as there is no 49ers games.
