    Anyone ever have problems with.....

their Hawk HPS pads squealing at low speeds? I have them in the rears only (fronts don"t accept the spring clips) and I'm getting noise when coming to a stop under 5 mph. Never had this with the OEM's. Just wondering if the Hawks could be the culprit.

This is a known issue with track pads.

Hmmm strange that once I've been on them a few times is when I start to hear it. Guess I'm going back to the OEM's in the rear too.

Squeal like an MFer in low speed stops.

Worth it to me for everything else they do well.

    Gordon,

Have you tried Re-bedding in the pads?

What about going to Porterfields, instead of OEM...that's what I'm running on the same exact setup as you, and they hold up great to the canyons, and are low dusting .

Lemme know if you need any help...you have my #

    Hope all is well bud.

I replaced my worn pagid with Hawks because tirerack gave me a good deal and the pagid were hard to find quickly. I regret not paying the extra as there is no comparison with the pagids.

I think you're saying that you like the Pagids better? If so I think I agree. I've had nothing but headaches with the Hawks since the beginning of this upgrade (rotors and pads). The Pagids are working really well on the new GSG rotors and as it turns out, are dusting less than with the OEM rotors. Lovin that!!!!! But, squealing or noise of any kind from the brakes, I cannot tolerate. Which brings me to rotors. I switched from Adams to GSG. The dimpled Adams rotors make a rattle snake like noise when in use. Holy crap, can't stand that at all. Some people like it though. GSG's - silent. NICE!!

What's up B-man. Yeah I'll try that but I think I'm just going to go back to the Pagids for the rear. I think they work just fine.

Thanks though brother. When are we going on another canyon run?
