    Question Audi 90 Engine Swap

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I am buying an old audi 90 Quattro with the 2.3l 5cyl. I was wondering what options I have as far as engine swaps. The guy I am buying it from was telling me that I could swap the S4 4.2 or 2.7t. He said 034 motorsports had kits for these swaps. Any advice would be appreciated.

    Re: Audi 90 Engine Swap

The guy you're buying the 90 from is crazy! You'll end up putting in 10 times the work to toss in a 4.2 or 2.7T.

Best/easiest motor swap for a early 90 is either the MC-1 10V turbo (found in a Audi 5000 or early 200) or a 3B 20V Turbo (found in a 1991 Audi 200) or AAN (found in a 92-95 Audi S4/S6). All three of these motors bolt right up with no issues.

If you're spending the time to do the swap, get the 20V Turbo. There is some CRAZY HP number getting produced out of 3B or AAN motors. Javad at 034 motorsports has a 3B with over 1000HP!! Simple chip and exhaust and you're already 300HP.

Anymore info you need on these older Audi's visit motorgeek.com
