    Check Engine light HELP

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
So i was driving on the highway, going around 60MPH in 6th gear when the check engine light comes on. I was very low on gas at the time, on 10 miles left in range. The car is a 04 S4 with 52K on the clock. Any ideas?

    Thanks

    Re: Check Engine light HELP

can be anything. You need to have someone VAG it and see what the error code says.

    Mine came on 2 times:

    1) they replaced oxygen sensor (car only had 162 miles)
    2) they replaced ECM (car had 1000 miles)

Fill it up with gas, screw on the lid tight and drive it around for a little. It could have been the gas tank pressure. If you still got a light on, toss on an OBD scanner and se what the problem is.

    Re: Check Engine light HELP

i just recently had my s4 go to the shop and it was just a wierd feeling problem in my gears. It felt like there was no power in them and it ended up being my camshaft. 20+ hours labor with taking the whole engine apart. It has been a week and the fucking thing just went back on again. Im scared. Any ideas
