    Re: is this true?

That's true. Instead, the CVT uses hydraulically applied multiplate wet clutch packs, one for forward the other for reverse.

not much because see it's like a DSG in sense that for faster and smoother shifts the amount of power it can hold is limited.

I had the CVT car done at Eurocode for a friend named Peter...

It was seriously detuned and may have seen 230 at the wheels. Has always ran great but it would be foolish to try to crank the power up on it.

    Re: is this true?

^ considering our cars usually get 120-140 stock at the wheels, thats quite the improvement

    Re: is this true?

For a CVT car, the best thing to do is get every single bolt on.

    Chip
    Exhaust
    Test pipe
    FMIC
    Meth Injection
    n249 delete
    TIP
    DV

I have a CVT with the above items and I used Lemmiwinks to advance timing for the Meth Injection. I'm very happy with the car and it pulls HARD. I'll dyno sooner or later but for me atleast it's very fun. I'd be bold enough to say comparing videos posted to driving my car it seems like my car is much faster than the BT tiptronics.

i thought the Bugatti was a 7-speed manual, oh well then some DSG's are very different seeing how the tranny out of the Bugatti costs more than the average condo, i mean that's a different story.

A few of the A3 guys seem to have APR stage 3+ kits on their DSGs. In fact, I think APR has a stage 3+ DSG.

    Re: is this true?

i'm running 21 lb of boost daily. ecode hooked it up with the tuning. i launch the car at least a few times a week, red line everyday and always drive in tip mode. cvt isnt as weak as people think. already have 25k miles on her. granted this is my second tranny, (it was about 7,500 total to replace) the first one was not damaged by the gt28rs but from apr stg. 1+ on the ko3.
S5 with goodies. Need to change my SN ha!

    She gone....
