Anyone installed racing seats??

Pete, you can buy the S4 type recaros from recaro with the tracks. Its about 4000 dollars for everything.

It depends who you buy it from. Look to buy the seats through a company that sells other Audi stuff and they will most likely include what you need. But yeah, you need the seats and then the specific rails/tracks for the B6/B7 (not sure if B5 will work). Also remember that you'll probably need to wire up a resistor for the airbag b/c the B7 has those pressure airbag sensor thingys in the seats.

def. can't spend 4k. looking to spend less then 600 for the seats then want to get them recovered in black leather and suede.

You can get most any racing seat and have a good shop make up a set of rails to fit the car.

Wedge Engineering makes adapters to fit any seat (Sparco, Corbeau, Status, etc) seats in your Audi.

I had a set of cloth Corbeaus that I ran in my A4 and a set of Alcantara Status that I run in my RS4. I don't run them all the time, just swap them out for track days and Bonneville runs.

I myself slightly modified the mounts I had from Sparco for Golf V fitment, and it went perfectly that way...
I also used side mounts, cause i chose Racing FIA seats which HAVE to be mounted in the two sides of each seat...

unless you plan on tracking your car more than cruising it I don't recommend racing seats. Upgrade to recar leathers and keep the classy look of our cars. IMO racing seats are ugly unless the car is gutted and is built to race.

^^^^Nothing difficult actually...Take a simple racing seat, not even a very expensive one, and dress it in leather and suede/acantara, and it looks like that...nice looking for a more luxury and racing look as well...

The ones i posted aren't recovered, they are the DTM edition from Sparco. But recovering is a great idea for other seats if looking for a more classy look

2800$ a seat or 5000$ for the pair. They knock off 600$ if you buy the pair.

Much better buy some regular ones, and dress them up the way you want with leather and suede...
