Maybe the ugliest car ever

Has anyone seen the new Acura TL?
I don't know what Acura is thinking with these new designs but they are maybe the ugliest thing I have seen. The old ones were pretty good looking, so I was kinda exciting to see what Acura would come out with.

The problem with Acura is that they were partially successful with the design of the MDX and started to reshape the front end for the TSX and now the TL. I think it works decently well on a car like the MDX, but on the sedans its ugly.

When I saw the TL at the NYC auto show I saw it from the front and until I came within 2 feet I thought it was a TSX with a body kit or something. Just that factor that one of your best selling looks like your least expensive cars and has the same design and styling of such is just a wrong direction for Acura.

I mean seriously would you ever mistake a A6 for a A4? And although Audi had taken the styling of their more expensive cars and brought it down to the lowest level, most common of which is the B7 A4 with the large grille, the whole car isn't designed around that aspect, and that is where Acura fails, they designed their whole line around that front end.

BTW, not hating on Acura at all, I had an RSX prior to my A4 and mom currently drive the RDX, which I think is also lacking in certain features for a "Technology Car", but thats a whole different rant, but at least it looks like the only different type of car as it doesn't follow that same design as the other Acura.

just about every car out there now is totally chromed out. makes me sick. the mexicans out here have the mentality that anything will look good as long as you add chrome. american cars are all following this notion now. and yes that front grille on the new acura is horrible! looks like a bird beak with a smile or something...

x10 for the aztec. the acura looks like crap now. as far as audi and the b7 styling with the large grill, many manufacturers have now moved onto designing their cars with a very large front grill opening. it's just that audi took the first leap and now everyone follows.

i personally had a 2005 Acura TL and it was terrible...terrible quality terrible technology i had an entire electrical system fail at 35000 miles...i will never buy an acura again

however, yes there are too many tls on the road... thats probably because its an entry level luxury sedan at a decent, affordable price to average working civilians.

I saw a 2008 on the side of the road by my job with the hood popped open, they sat there for close to two hours (on a sunday) while acura sent out their road side assistance. The two people inside were pretty calm about the whole thing.

I think shit like that is pretty rare though with acura.

Anyway, I've driven some of their new line up, I wouldn't buy any, but I was pleased, not bad at all for a luxury car.

This very same thing could be said for Cadillac. The CTS is OMFG, but the rest of the line up is shit. This especially applies to the interiors.
