B7 S4 Suspension on B6 A4

Will the OEM suspension from a B7 S4 fit a B6 A4 3.0 Quattro?

im not positive but isnt b6 and b7 suspension the same

If it is the same, how will the ride be on an A4 if its a 1.8 given that the B7 S4 is heavier. I rolled around that idea instead of installing the coilovers i have cause i really dont need all the customization, just a small drop

just get an 02 sport suspension from the classified for cheap

Well consider the S4 has a V8 up front and is a lot heavier, the front of your car will be sitting a little higher and your ride will be a lot stiffer, just pass on it. Good spring can be had for under $200 new.

I have a 3.0 so I think they will work fine. Does anyone know what kind of drop I'll get with them?

No more than an OEM sport suspension, which I figure the S4 suspension would be akin too. The difference in handling comes mostly from the rear S4 swaybar. Like I said you'd probably get better performance from a set of after market springs. Your car won't be lower with an S4 suspension, which is good if you planned on reusing your stock shocks, that's really the only advantage.

Search...This has been discussed over and over again. The spring rates for the S4 is drastically different then the 3.0 or 1.8t. No point in putting springs that weren't designed for your car. Chances are you will only get a firmer ride, and probably a higher ride then your oem sport. Do it right, or do it twice.
