Any experience w/ this headunit install kit?

Hi all, I just picked up an 02 A4 yesterday with the bose symphony headunit. Im looking at getting a Kenwood DNX8120 double din headunit. I've searched here and everyone is saying to get the metra doubledin kit but I found this one online:

    http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/audi...idsblal1cvioa7

It comes w/ a mounting cage which is why i'm leaning on getting this. I believe the metra doesn't really have bracket support for double dins.

If anyone has heard or used this, please let me know what you thought and if it's worth it. Thanks.

i used metra in my car and had no problems, u just cut the center bar out of it, and it mounts a double din perfect, you just need the cage for your double din kenwood unit. that looks like a good unit though but no first hand experince.

go with the metra.. i sell these at my work.. the kit recomended ( and as he is saying^^^) is for a single din ...and comes with a pocket underneath... sso obviously there are mounts to get it in.. their not just going to let it hang there haha... but once that cross member is drilled out it becomes stacked din or double din stacked iso whatever you want to say.. but i do these almost weekly.. and it has never ever failed. plus their what.. 15 bucks

+1 on the metra. Thats what I used as well and it's extremely easy to cut out the center bar. Also the pound is raping the dollar right now so you're going to be paying almost double that price in dollars. Much cheaper to just go with the metra.

another vote for the Metra. I installed a Kenwood DNX5120 (double din) with it and it worked great.

Re: Any experience w/ this headunit install kit?

Thanks for the info guys. I ended up ordering the metra. I found a complete kit that has a harness and antenna adapter so I should have everything I need. Ya I was in Ireland last week and the Euro was pretty strong, the pound I think is even stronger. Saved myself a few bucks.
