Basslink on 04 B6 Avant. Install tips pls

Hi!

I just picked up an 04 B6 Avant today (with only 15k ). It only has the stock radio but I'd like more bass out of it. I have an Infinity Basslink from my ex-Jeep and was hoping to install it on the Avant.

Has anyone done this and have any install write-ups? Interested on tips as to where to tap the signal from and power. Will the 12V cig outlet be enough to power the Basslink?

Use the hi level inputs and tap signal from the pre existing sub. Run the remote turn on from the fuse panel. Just gotta use something that is switched on/off by the ignition. Something like the fuel pump. As for the main power cable, at least 12 gauge and bring it all the way from the battery. There are several places to route the cable through the firewall. As for the ground, same size cable as the power, you can ground it in the trunk area. There are plenty of bolts that can be used back there. Make sure its a good ground though. Scrape off paint if needed. It needs to be metal on metal.
