oil leaking coming from the rear

i had to tow my car (2000 Audi S4 with 67,000) today. i noticed that there was a lot of oil leaking coming from rear part above the lower pan. i noticed the leak when the car was getting pulled up on the truck. my car has been sitting for about 1 years prior to this. i was wondering what the leak could be. wanted to get some input

how much would that cost to fix?
could it be the upper oil gasket???

could be, im not looking at your car, so i dont know. could be anything.

rear crank you need to pull the transmission and flywheel, its not cheap. could be a turbo oil line also. get it checked out by a reputable shop.

the possibilities are endless, but rear main seals are probably the most common issue.

the leak only happens when the car is tilted (like parking uphill)

its engine oil right, dosn't smell like gear oil?

i think your going to have to put the car on jackstands on an angle, or park on a hill and try to see where its leaking from.

it's engine oil. i just looked today there is a bolt missing on the turbo banjo line going to the turbo

i think you've found your problem.

is this bolt a dealer item

take the bolt from the other side and see if you can match it up, otherwise you might just have to go to the dealer, or a auto wrecker.

yea it is a dealer part , I had the same thing happen to mine slow leak on pass side. Kept getting the lower IC hose wet little at a time. I think the bolt was 2 something idk off the top of my head.

would it be leaking from banjo line going to the turbo when the car is turned off?

finally fixed the problem.
it was the upper oil pan.
found three striped bolts on the upper oil pan
