    sport technic wheels?

A couple of you may have read my post a week or so ago about one of my tires bubbling and having to replace all 4 due to awd. I decided i might as well go for a new set of bigger and lighter wheel, so I'm about to pick up some sport technic mono 10's tomorrow and was wondering if anybody had info on these? To my understanding, they are japanese reps of sportecs? are they as good quality wise, and also similar weight? I was told 9.6kg (~21lb) for 18x8, which should be significantly lighter than my cement block weighted 17" avus right now. go for it or no?

I say go for it, I have a set that came with the tires mounted (215/40/18) and they were pretty light all together. Dont know the weight though, but they were lighter than my old 18's. They have held up very good to some pot holes and such also on north jersey roads which ar not the greatest at all

Yea, I'm pretty certain on pulling the trigger. only knock is that these wheels come with falken ze912's, which are all season tires. these tires would be fine if i didn't live in socal 8 months of the year. anybody have experience with ze912 and it's traction on dry roads? btw, what up jersey! I grew up there man.

one more thing: these are 18x8 et38 225/40/18 tires. is ET38 allright for b5 set ups and will it clear porsche calipers?

If it is the ones on ebay, you might want to consider I am thinking about purchasing those myself. Just a heads up.
