key fob

well after finishing up everything my key doesnt work (battery was off of the car on chrager for about a month or so, and the fob has brand new batteries)

like i cant open my windows or sunroof...anyone have any ideas

edit..even the button inside doesnt work as well

the car runs and drives with the key..but i cant put down my windows, open my sunroof, or uses the unlock button inside the car

this is really weird...when i open the door the interior lights dont turn on but i can turn them on manually

wow thats really strange. try reprogramming it and see what happens. you can do it through VAG somehow i believe. OR there is a way to put a key in both the door and ignition and do something else. If i remember I'll post it, and if anyone else know post it up. My buddys TT needs the keys reprogrammed too wish i could remember. sorry man

Sounds like you've got some bad wiring in your drivers door, most likely the hinge.... Does the light not come on for only the drivers door, or all of them?

The broken wire in the drivers door explains the windows not working. Without a good connection to the main switch for all the windows it won't let any of them work. Does the sunroof work?
