Would it be ok to run a k04-22 on the file? Also will it bolt up to the manifold? I know a k04-01 won't. Didn't know if the TT used the same bolt pattern and housing locations as the B5.

    Re: J31 question

Uhh, a k04-022 isn't what your looking for.... you need the k04-015. TT's and a4's use different turbos

    Re: J31 question

Ya I know the 22 is a TT k04. You do know that people run different turbos on all kinds of different files. Don't you? Now waiting for someone with a better response.

    Re: J31 question

nope i believe the ko4 15 is the only k04 you can run unless you use one lke a k04 26 or something but no tuning avail for that unless you go standalone

    Re: J31 question

k04-22 bolts up differently to the manifold. So possibly you could get a tt manifold and run it but i doubt it since theyre trans. and were long.

    Re: J31 question

Someone already tried becaues he found it at a very cheap price, but then found out that it wont bolt up on an A4. Only bigger K04 that I know of that actually worked on the A4 was the one sold by MTM which Jet Jockey used to run.

    Re: J31 question

so would it be safe to run a larger k04 or k series turbo on the j31 file? I'm asking bc I know the timing tables and boost is crazy on this file. What other turbos could I run do you think.

    Re: J31 question

You could run them but the tuning wont be perfect.
