Powder Coating Stock B6 Wheels?

I have my stock avus wheels powder coated in a gunmetal metallic type color, would pics of those help you out at all?

Sure! Anything will help out. My car is black though, and just wanted to see what the black on black would look like. With lots of brake dust they almost look gunmetal and it looks sweet, but I would love to see yours.

I saw this car for sale in Palo Alto. However i personally think for the time, money, and effort you will be spending on powdercoating them you are better off getting a pair of rims from vmr or used from the audizine classifieds.

Im not a big fan of the B6 s4 rims, Ive seen many people paint them black and im not a fan. I wouldn't spend the money on it.

Id personally save up a little more and buy some sick reps

Well, the main reason I looked into powder coating is because I am in the Navy and we have a powder coating shop here on base where I can get it done for free. That way the only thing I would have to pay for is tire removal, mounting then balancing.

After looking at the pics posted above... I vote no. Looks pretty terrible to me. Needs a chrome lip with all that black. And also the center caps are still the original color =D funny stuff

If you can get it done for free and you are set on doing it i would vote for matte black over glossy.

Hey, just wanted to let you know that I am getting the rims re-coated in a dark graphite on Wednesday so I will post up pics after I get them done.

I think I am going to sell them since I just bought some new BBS rims.

If anybody is interested in a mint set of Avus rims (no scratches or curb rash) on Falken tires w/ good thread let me know asap, I can probably get these powder coated in whatever color you want.
