Will work fine on your ndbw. The race valve is just a N75 valve from the old 5 cylinder turbo cars.

We don't recommend it as the cars are prone to overboosting and surging with it (which people will tend to blame the software for, despite the hardware mismatch). Since the nDBW cars do not close throttle like the DBW cars (there is no potential boost mismatch to close the throttle), the throttle will stay open. If you had a nDBW car, without a resistor to clamp the MAP, the car would close throttle due to boost overshoot. This is likely what you read....

They come in a lot of variations indicated by the last letter of the part number (C, F, J, K, H etc) and they differ in how much boost they will hold before opening the wastegate. I think K is the most, but i could be wrong

C,F are OEM 1.8T valves. C was came on the 97-2003 vehicles and was prone to failure. It was superceded with the F valve which is also a stock valve.

As noted before, the H, J and K are from other vehicles and have stiffer springs in them. I have never tried the K valve, but saw little difference between the H and J in my old car.

I run the ECS Race Valve on my nDBW '99 combined with APR 1.0 bar chip with no problems. Boost comes on a little stronger earlier on in the rev range. Spike at 17-18 and holds 15 psi until the KO3 normal drop off at 5K.

    Re: ECS N75 race valve?????

I used the "H" valve for quite a while until just a few days ago. I was hooking up my Boost Machine and when I pulled the valve out of my tip I broke it, what a bitch. I enjoyed it with my APR chip on a 01 and it did increase my boost by about 1 to 2 psi depending on weather. I did feel it pull a little bit harder but who knows I never dynoed it or anything. I had to put my stock "C" valve back in but now I run my boost machine so it doesn't realy matter. The "K" valve is supposed to be a stronger valve and it is the one Dahlback recomends with their K03 program.I don't know anyone who used it so I couldn't say anything about it.
